I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

Been missing too many workouts this past couple of weeks. It was so much easier just to go out the door and run. Trying to get to the pool is hard to fit in my schedule sometimes.

Today wanted to get in some more distance more than I normally do. I swam 3000 yards continuous. 1000 free/1000 breast/1000 free.

1000 free - 17:333:93

1000 breast - 21:21:35

1000 free - 18:12:36

Total - 3000 - 57:07:64

Weight: 0.00

How's the achilles feeling these days?

From Scott Zincone on Thu, Dec 20, 2007 at 16:29:04

Aaron,

You know it never hurt that bad in the first place. I just started to baby it as soon as I noticed it so it would not get worse. But it still feels the same even with all the rest. It does not hurt when I am barefoot. Unless I stand on my tip toes and stretch real hard. But in shoes, any type of shoes, I can feel it almost always. It seems where the top of the heel of most shoes hits my legs is where the pain is.

At first I thought this would be no big deal. Catch it fast, treat it, and run again in no time. But I have been getting more and more discouraged lately. Like I said no terrible pain, just an aggravating twinge that lets me know it is still there.

Still plan on waiting until January 1 before I hit the elliptical, bike, or roads again. Hopefully it will feel good enough to do one of those by then.
