Train consistently and smart. Run some local races and hope to lower PR's every once in awhile.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

After yesterday's run I decided to do an easy 5. I felt absolutely great when putting my shoes on. But once I got running it was bad. I was huffing and puffing on the first mile. That should not have happened at that pace. I was so dead legged. They felt heavy as well with some burn it them. I am not sure what is going on. I have been so excited about my race on Saturday. But these last two runs have left me wondering..........

Cut this run short as well. I wish I knew what was going on with my body right now.

Run -

3.27 miles - 7:56, 8:08, 8:08, 2:04 - 26:16 - 8:02 avg.

My mileage for this week will not be good it would seem.

Wow, you have weird things happening to you. How was your eating?

What is your prediction for the race on Saturday?

From Scott Zincone on Thu, Mar 13, 2008 at 22:19:51

My prediction was to make an "all or none" attempt at breaking 20:00. If I made it, outstanding. If I didn't, well at least I hopefully gave a strong effort.

But after the last 2 days of workouts I may just go by feel and let whatever the final time is...be good enough.

I hope this is only a fluke on how I am feeling. Could be the cold I have. But we will see.
