Train consistently and smart. Run some local races and hope to lower PR's every once in awhile.

I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

I really hated abusing myself like I did today. I have not slept well the last two nights. Then I had training to go to before work. I should have run before the training, but just did not feel like it. Afterwards I had just enough time to get in a run. And it was just barely enough...so I had to push the pace. Today was supposed to be a slow and easy 8. But instead I had to do a faster 6. It was 85 degrees when I ran. My legs felt good, but I got hot. I had not taken in enough fluids today.

I look forward to an easier run tomorrow.

Happy birthday. I am glad to see someone else has work that pushes you to get your work out in.

I see that you were blogging Walter. he beat me in the last tri. He is a heck of a runner, but I don't think he puts as much bike time in, otherwise he would be one of the best with his run times.

I think you are a faster swimmer if you can do a mile in 30 min. I swim meters during the week and then they flip to yards on the weekend. 18 laps is right for 1 mile. I am right at 32 min.

I enjoyed reading about your grass run and taking you back to cross country days. I think about that too when I do grass.
