Short-Term Running Goals:

Train consistently and smart. Run some local races and hope to lower PR's every once in awhile.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

Born in 1970. Grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Ran high school track and cross country. Also lived in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a few years. Now living in South Hill, Virginia. Married since 1995 and have two children. Have been a police officer since 1994.

This run felt pretty good.  Legs good, specifically the lower right leg, and cardio was good.  Leg pain only lasted for a couple of minutes this time.  This was one of my better runs when I am working Midnight's.

Great run. So the pain lasts for a mile or two into the run and then it gets better?

Yeah, it hurts pretty bad on my 1st few steps. Gets better within 10 minutes. This is what happened the week before last. But then I made the mistake of pushing the pace and too many miles while it was still a little tender. This time lower miles and slower paces. Hopefully it will heal on its own while continuing to run on it.
