Train consistently and smart. Run some local races and hope to lower PR's every once in awhile.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

Today's 6 was much easier than yesterday's 6. But it was still too hot. Checked the weather when I was done and it showed 86f with a heat index of 90F. All by 9:45 am. Ughh.

I had some bad luck on my afternoon run. About 11:30am there was an area wide power outage. My plan had been to go to the gym and run on the treadmill. But since it was out of commission I decided to run on the road. I felt pretty good. The legs were fresher than on my morning run. I wanted 4, but came on in at 3.4. I figured I had done enough considering it was 97.7f when I finished the run. The good news is the power came on about 20 minuted before I had to go to work. That saved me from several headaches.

Those are really neat tables. What kind of watch is producing them?

Also, it seems like you are running on a very hilly course or is this measure not really reliable? Some online tools for measuring distance of courses offer elevation measures as well but I always find them to be very exaggerated.

It takes a while for the body to acclimate itself. So a 6 mile in 86F in a month will feel way better than it does now (or at least I hope so).
