Train consistently and smart. Run some local races and hope to lower PR's every once in awhile.

I would love to see a 5:XX for a mile just one more time. Go under 20 in a 5K. And a sub 40 for a 10K.

Oh boy, my legs are sore after tonight's run.  It is not as much as just tonight as it is an accumulation of the three or four runs. The quads is where all the soreness is.  That little raw spot on my heel area really bugged me for most of the run.  I stuck a band-aid on it before the run.  Started to feel like it fell off at 3 miles.  When I got home it was just barely hanging on.  I will have to protect it differently on future runs until it heals.

For no reason other than to just do it, I wanted to see if I could average under 7:30 for the last 4 miles.  And I did.  1st 4 - 7:44 avg.  2nd 4 - 7:14 avg

Nice job in kicking the 7:30 guy. 6:55 is a nice way to finish.

I get blisters on the bottom of my foot (in my racing shoes) just under my big toe bone, about two inches in. I hate blisters!!

There are some fancy ways of lacing your shoes to avoid heel rubbing.

See; http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/locklacing.htm

I never knew lacing shoes was such a science.

I have seen some of those techniques before. Maybe I should just get Velcro shoes to make it simpler.
